CHOKE MANIFOLD

The Choke Manifold controls fluid flow from the well by reducing the flowing pressure. The pressure drop across the choke helps to achieve critical flow.
During a typical production testing operation, critical flow (the point at which the downstream pressure is approximately one-half of the upstream pressure) must be achieved across the choke to validate the flow rate calculations for a given choke size.
